Brussels, Mumbai, 08 October 2024. Concluding its first two years of establishment, the local Working Group of Eurovent members and certified manufacturers active in India have elected a new Chairpersons to steer the group’s activities for the next two years.

Eurovent India members gathered in Mumbai for its Annual Meeting, which was followed by a technical workshop titled ‘Energy Efficient Indoor Air Quality Solutions’, that welcomed almost 200 professionals from various industries.

The event highlighted the strong interest in technical presentations on improved energy efficiency in ventilation and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), one of the group’s major focal areas. During the Annual Meeting, Mr Alok Bhardwaj, Vice President of Systemair India, was elected as Chairman, taking over from this role from, Mr Devraj Singh, Managing Director of FlaktGroup Asia. He will be supported by Mr Anil Chopra, Head of Regulatory Affairs of Camfil India, as Vice-Chairman.

Mr Alok Bhardwaj, stated: “I am honoured and excited to take on this role on behalf of our members. India looks forward to a massive expansion of infrastructure and strong economic growth, which will come with huge challenges to meet energy demands and reduce carbon emissions. The collaborative work by Eurovent India is an essential contribution to help this country achieve its development goals and energy efficiency targets.”

Mr Markus Lattner, Eurovent International Director, added: “Our sincerest appreciation goes to Mr Devraj Singh, who has been an excellent chairman and whose active contribution was essential in the establishment of the group. Building on the successful foundation of the first two years, I am looking forward to seeing the next steps taken under Alok’s leadership.”

Eurovent India is a collaborative effort of Eurovent members and Eurovent certified manufacturers interested in contributing towards sustainability, energy efficiency, better IAQ, and the development of higher standards in the country. By raising awareness of common problems and highlighting technical solutions, its participants provide important knowledge and expertise to reduce energy consumption and the adverse effects of substandard HVACR installations.
