I work as an Applications Engineer at Space Engineering Services, one of the UK's leading companies delivering innovative engineering and service solutions. Sustainability sits at the core of everything we do for our clients – from the initial design phase, through to supply, management and maintenance.
I joined Space Engineering straight after college, 8 years ago, and haven't looked back.
My role involves working closely with project managers and clients to help deliver design drawings. Sizing of pipework, plant selections, air conditioning, and pipework routes all feature heavily in my day to day.
Where there could be factors that prevent us from designing a system in the standard way, my job it to provide sound, sustainable alternatives to the client. This could include complicated internal plantroom designs, or low noise sites where we have to look at different options.
What are my #coolskills? This year World Refrigeration Day is focussing on the people, skills and expertise behind refrigeration. When the Space teams come together, it fuels creative innovation and impact. I'm someone who likes to play a key role and help out where I can. If there's something someone needs help with, I'll do my best to be involved and sort it out.
