A degree qualified professional design manager with over 20 years sheet metal and conceptual development experience within the retail industry. A key member of the senior operating team responsible for setting annual budgets, monitoring P&L, overseeing business improvement projects and developing new business opportunities. Eager to broaden design experiences with new challenges both in retail and non-retail industries.
Involved in developing new concept display equipment for major global retail companies and working up details to production level using 3D cad software, Microsoft office and ERP Business tools. Also responsible for the day to day organisational management of the design team to satisfy external sales requests, production engineering improvements and supplier relationships .
The successful implementation of a new departmental document management system, Solidworks and business support tools was a challenging project that required in-depth knowledge of all areas of the business and integration of design team into the rest of the business.
Developed International business relationships with a Chinese manufacturing organisation for supply of UK retail cabinet design into the Asian and Australasian markets. Involved with product development in a variety of global markets include Europe, the Far East and America.
