Women in Coolings: Include me in the International network for Women in Cooling
I started in this trade in 2007 originally as a stepping stone to join Dublin Fire Brigade, yet 15 years later I’m still in the trade. I love the diversity that comes with this job, every day is an opportunity to learn something. Ask anyone I work with and they’ll tell you I love to do deep cleans. I mainly do service and maintenace and pride myself on the detail that I go to. I keep a notebook in my toolbag that I add all valuable info to, a top tip that I recommend.
I’m also a member of the Institute of Refrigeration Ireland, and would encourage all younger engineers and apprentices to really invest in themselves. Refrigeration isn’t just a job, as a career it can offer so much.
