I have worked in low emission transport for a while now, but for me, learning about cooling and refrigeration sectors only started about six years ago. Transport for London were concerned about the lack of understanding about emissions from road going refrigeration systems, and I was tasked with developing a system to estimate the likely emissions in London. I think we were all shocked at how high the numbers were by the time I finished. In the last five years the transformation in truck-board refrigeration technology has been phenomenal. Today, there is no excuse for the levels of pollution that were the industry standard five years ago.
