Women in Coolings: Include me in the International network for Women in Cooling

When Laurelyn was five years old, she never dreamed she would be a Director of Business development for the HVAC industry. Yet, here she is, many, many years past the five-year-old version of herself working with the Goodleap team to do just that. As a Director of Business Development, Laurelyn is able to impact the lives of business owners, their employees, and homeowners by offering financing to those that need or want it. The beauty of financing for HVAC is the ability to provide a financing platform for dealers who can provide homeowners hot or cold air, to make their homes more comfortable for their families, and allow their children or grandparents to almost instantly breathe cleaner air. Laurelyn focuses on helping not only the customer, but business owners as well. The higher the revenue she can help dealers generate, the more staff they can hire. The more spiffs dealers can present to their employees, the higher the employee retention rate. The better service our partners can provide, the more revenue can be gained by keeping the same staff. It is a cycle. In the end, it is her opinion, both Goodleap and its partners have the same goal: together they are here not just to sell a product, but to make an impact.

In addition to working for Goodleap, Laurelyn enjoys focusing on self-development. One way she has found to advance herself quickly is collaborating with others. The Women in HVACR organization has been one of the most influential platforms in her personal growth. Whether attending weekly calls, regional meetings, or their yearly conference, she has been inspired, empowered, enlightened, and has received important key advice from other members.

When she isn’t working, involved in WHVACR, or at children’s sporting events, she loves the outdoors. You can find her fishing, golfing, or hiking when she has a day off. Thank goodness she has a fiancé that likes those same things too! Between them, they have five children that range from thirteen to seven years old. They are involved in baseball, volleyball, softball and the newest sport to add to their list is football. She continues to learn so much from all of their kids, how to be a better Mom, a better listener, how to learn how to have more patience, and one of her favorites: learning all of the different things about each child individually that makes them unique and just loving them for that.
