Women in Coolings: Include me in the International network for Women in Cooling

I was introduced to the world of refrigeration by my father, as many of us are, and quickly found I loved the hands on aspects of the sector and helping to create cold stores and comfortable environments for building occupants – seeing the difference our work did for people instantly was hugely satisfying.
My career has taken me from being an on the tools engineer, through management, to trade association involvement including serving as Chairman of the UK industry board, and 4 years as President of the European contractors’ association. I have advised and addressed Parliaments in the UK and Europe on regulatory reform, and continue to press for improved standards across the sector.
I am currently working with UNEP in creating minimum competency standards for the global RACHP sector to help the developing world’s nations to safely transition to lower GWP refrigerants.
