Women in Coolings: Include me in the International network for Women in Cooling

Amber Villegas – Williamson is a Technical Consultant in the EMEA region of Uptime Institute Professional Services, responsible for data center design and facility Tier certifications. She provides Tier Gap Analysis (TGA), Tier Certification of Detailed Design (TCDD), Tier Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF), Data Center Risk Assessment (DCRA), Facility Management & Operations (FMO), Progress and Design Reviews. Amber is also an Instructor teaching both the Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) and Accredited Operations Specialist (AOS) Courses. Additionally, Amber also contributes to the Uptime Institute Research Program through presentations at industry conferences, and the Uptime Institute Network.

Amber has conducted certification activities for data centers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Her onsite data center experience ranges across countries in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Before Uptime Institute, Amber has worked in various capacities at some of the world’s leading power protection manufacturers, with a primary focus on power continuity systems for Data Centers and Industrial applications.
Amber holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of South Wales and has been published in a number of professional publications including the Electrical Review, Middle East Electricity, Data Center Knowledge, Womanthology and Uptime Intelligence Reports. Amber has also spoken at number industry events including Data Center World in both Paris and London in addition to Uptime Network Conferences in Europe.
Amber is a member of The IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology) and WES (Women In Engineering Society). Amber is a Mentor and also volunteers to raise awareness of Data Center and encourage young people to consider STEM careers and is a STEMNET Ambassador, Big Bang Fair Competition judge and WISE member (Women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
