Women in Coolings:
After 10+ years working in hotels and working m way up to Senior Management I needed a change. At 29 years old and with only hospitality experience this seemed impossible. Fortunately I took a chance and applied for a job as a Trainee Applications engineer for Kelvion and was successful. After attending Eastleigh college one day a week for 2 years and gaining qualifications along with manufacturing experience, R&D, site work and time with the Applications team I became an Applications Engineer. I continued in this role for 2 more years when the opportunity came up to enter the Front End Sales Team and look after the Wholesale Distribution customer base. A very challenging time to take on this role with Covid lock down in place and then the supply chain issues but i have loved it and am really getting to know the industry.
I am so happy i took the plunge to leave my old industry and that Kelvion took a chance on me. The refrigeration industry really has been a friendly world to step in to and i have learnt so much.
