SUMMARY:EU approach to HFC phase down
DESCRIPTION:Öko-Recherche\, the German environmental research and consultancy business\, will be hosting a one-hour webinar in close co-operation with the EU Commission\, looking at the EU’s approach to reducing HFCs through the F-gas legislation and introducing more energy efficient products through eco-label and energy labelling policies. This will be complemented by best practice examples to achieving both emission reduction goals. \nEntitled Increasing energy efficiency while phasing-down HFCs: showcasing the EU example\, the webinar will take place at 11:00 CEST on 26 June. \nNiccolo Costantini\, policy officer\, EU Commission (DG Climate Action)\, will give an update on the implementation of the EU HFC phase-down; Julia Kleinschmidt\, policy advisor at Öko-Recherche\, will talk on energy efficiency policies in the RAC&HP sector; Benedikt Geitz of Viessmann will present ESyCool green\, Viessmann’s R290-based energy system for commercial cooling applications; Jürgen Süß\, MD of Efficient Energy GmbH will explain eChiller – the chiller using water as the refrigerant. \nTo listen in you are asked to register by Friday of this week (June 21) by sending a short email to Nicolai Bannwitz (nb@oekorecherche.de) to receive the log-in details for the webinar session.
